UFC welterweight contender Matt Brown may want a title fight next, but he'll also settle for a scrap with the quasi-retired Nick Diaz. "I think Nick Diaz would be more of a war than anybody else," Brown recently told the MMA Roasted podcast.
Brown won his seventh straight fight, and sixth by finish, last Saturday against Erik Silva in a Fight of the Year candidate performance. Diaz, on the other hand, has lost two straight fights (both for UFC titles) and has not fought since losing a decision to Georges St. Pierre in March of 2013.
Diaz has stayed in the news, however, by taunting Johny Hendricks, asking to box Roy Jones Jr. and demanding raises or another title shot from the UFC. That said, Diaz is a big name and - like Brown - brings an exciting, pressuring style to the cage along with great conditioning.
"The dude is not afraid to fight. He's a warrior in his own right," Brown continued.
"He likes to come forward, I like to come forward ... I can see that being a legendary fight, for sure. Of course that's gonna interest me."
