UFC 116's Three Stars: Lesnar, Leben and Harris

UFC 116 showed a ton of great performances, so picking out just three stars wasn't an easy task. Here are Cagewriter's picks for the best of 116.

No. 1 star — Brock Lesnar: The undisputed UFC heavyweight champ survived an onslaught from Shane Carwin that would have taken out most fighters and came back to win by submission. As Yahoo! Sports Blogger MJD noted, Lesnar is a special, once-in-a-generation athlete. No matter what you think of him, he showed why he is the champ.

No. 2 star — Chris Leben: In the past two weeks, Leben has two wins and two fight-night bonuses, earning him a total of $100,000 over his regular fight purse. Now he is asking for, and will likely get, a bout with Wanderlei Silva.

No. 3 star — Gerald Harris: There are few people who enjoy a good slam more than Gerald Harris, and he showed that off on Saturday. He knocked out Dave Branch with a slam and earned a Knockout of the Night bonus for his efforts.
