Strikeforce local undercard: Chandler, France, Ricehouse shine

Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery had an undercard packed with local fighters who all delivered on fights, getting the event off to a raucous start.

Michael Chandler, a former wrestler from the University of Missouri, impressed with a quick win. He got out of an early guillotine, then flipped Sal Woods before slamming him to the ground. Chandler took advantage of his position, pounding on Woods before sinking in a rear naked choke, winning by submission at 0:59 in the first round.

Jesse Finney, a popular local fighter and promoter, made quick work of Justin DeMoney. As the crowd went crazy, Finney won with a guillotine at 3:22 in the first round.

Matt Ricehouse and Greg Wilson (pictured above) got the card started off right with an exciting back and forth battle. Ricehouse finally hot the better of Wilson in the final round, winning by rear naked choke.

Brazilian fighter Francisco "Kiko" France got a quick win with another rear naked choke, beating Lee Brousseau at 1:27 in the first. Tom Aaron also finished his fight quickly, winning over Erik Steenberg by guillotine in just 0:56.

Daryl Cobb won a split decision, 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 over Booker DeRousse. Cobb inflicted damage early with punishing leg kicks, while DeRousse answered with ground and pound.
