Most observers don't look at Gina Carano as a serious possible threat to UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. It isn't that the former Strikeforce star isn't skilled, but after five years away from competition, it seems unlikely that she'd be able to successfully jump right back in against the best today's women's MMA world has to offer.

Additionally, Rousey would have to be a favorite against "Cyborg" Justino, who dominated Carano in the movie star's last fight, back in 2009. Rousey herself, however, believes that Carano would be her stiffest challenge to date.

"My coach said from the start that Gina is the worst style matchup for me," Rousey said in a recent interview.

"I'm not just saying that. I don't have to worry about fighters outmuscling or overwhelming me or catching me on the mat. The only thing I have to worry about is the one-punch knockout.

"And out of all of the women in MMA, Gina has the best feel for distance and timing. That's not something you lose because you made a couple of movies. You'll always have that. And she was the first girl I ever saw that had a one-punch standing knockout."

Carano most certainly did have excellent stand up striking skills as a Muay Thai and MMA fighter. But, if she and the UFC ever do come to terms to bring her to the Octagon to face Rousey, do you think she'll have too much rust to shake off?
