Two veterans of "The Ultimate Fighter" kicked Ultimate Fight Night 19 with a fantastic battle, with Nate Quarry winning via unanimous decision, 29-28, 29-28, 29-27. Neither fighter stopped pushing at any point during the fight. This fight has to be an early candidate for the Fight of the Night bonus.
Credeur dropped Quarry with a big combination and then took Quarry's back in the first round to attempt a rear naked choke. With a bloodied nose, Quarry got out of the choke and stayed alive. To start the second, Credeur threw a bevy of punches, putting Quarry in danger until Quarry came back and rocked Credeur with a huge right hand. That took the rest of the second round down to the ground, with Quarry on top and working ground and pound.
The third round started with Quarry again dropping Credeur, but the former Navy man somehow lasted through Quarry's onslaught. Credeur made it back to his feet, but then decided to pull guard after taking a few more Quarry punches. They were stood up with less than a minute to go in the fight. Credeur tried to pull out a home run in the final seconds with a huge kick, but it was too late to end the fight.
