Just like Jane Fonda, Richard Simmons and Tamilee Webb, fighters have jumped in on the home fitness DVD market. They don't promise "Buns of Steel," but they offer the intense cardio conditioning that fighters have, as mentioned by pro-football-player-turned-fighter Marcus Jones.
Clay Guida's "Five Rounds" conditioning DVD promises to show you exactly what Guida does to maintain his stamina and cardiovascular endurance. Considering the frenetic pace that he keeps up throughout his fights, this promises to help your workout. Hopefully, the fire and skeleton that adorn the cover of the DVD won't show up at your house when you move aside the coffee table to try out the moves on the DVD. Buy it at MMA Stop for $29.95.
The Bas Rutten MMA System Workout is one that "El Guapo" claims that he uses himself in his own backyard. A reviewer on Amazon claimed that the Rutten system, with an instructional DVD and a set of CDs, "whipped me into shape." The whole system is $59.95 on Amazon.
For a DVD that is more about teaching technique than just a work out, check out Randy Couture's X Training DVDs. You will learn wrestling, striking and other MMA fundamentals. Buy volume I for $24 and volume II for $24.95.
