'Mayhem' news: title fight and the return of 'Bully Beatdown'

If you're looking for your dose of news from the world of crazy, Jason "Mayhem" Miller has you covered.

-- First, after fighting for everyone from Dream to the UFC, Miller will fight Jake Shields for the middleweight championship of Strikeforce. This will be for the interim belt, since Cung Le, the actual belt holder, will be too busy making movies to defend his belt.

The Shields/Miller fight will likely take place on the same October card -- exact date, time and place still TBA -- that will feature Fedor Emelianenko's Strikeforce debut.

It may also set up a third fight, in the future, between Miller and Strikeforce's other new signee, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza. Miller and Souza have been less than loving to one another, so we could be in for some fun.

-- Miller also starts season two of his MTV show, "Bully Beatdown," this week. Thursday's episode will feature Bellator lightweight champ, Eddie Alvarez. According to my DVR, Alvarez will face off with Brandon, the arm-breaking bully.
