It's not always pretty with Matt Hamill but he is a rough, tough guy to face. By the middle of the second round, Reese Andy got hit by so many hard jabs that he went to a knee with 3:30 left in the round. Once he went to the knee, Hamill unleashed dozens of punches in various positions.
Referee Steve Mazzagati had to step in at 2:40 to save Andy who was laying on the ground taking massive abuse.
These guys are both wrestlers by trade but the fight stayed on the feet for all but 10 seconds. The pace of the boxing was slow and sloppy, but there were a lot of hard shots landed. It appeared that Andy injured a leg in the first as went limping to corner. He was able to open a nice sized cut under Hamill's right eye. Hamill undeterred overwhelmed Andy, an IFL-import, to record his fifth UFC win.
