Fearless Cote will make for a great fight against 'The Spider'

Are you buying it? Patrick Cote may not be in the top 8 at 185 lbs. but UFC president Dana White says his style is tailor-made for what could be a classic battle against UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva. He says Silva rooted for this fight while watching Cote and Ricardo Almeida at UFC 86:

"Anderson said 'this kid is going to come in and stand and bang with me.' Cote has an iron jaw. He has knockout power in both hands. And he's not afraid of Anderson Silva. When a guy has that mentality and doesn't go in there terrified, it should be a fun fight"

White also raved about the attitude change Josh Koscheck has undergone. We responded by saying screw that, Koscheck needs to continue cultivating the 'jerk' image. That moved us onto a discussion of Brock Lesnar and his recents outbursts. Lesnar showboated after his victory over Heath Herring at UFC 87 and had a few moments of rage during an ESPN E60 piece:

"He's a handful to deal with," said White. "Listen I don't tell anybody to be anyway. They are who they are and they act the way they act. We'll call Brock a little brat, no doubt about it."

White also talked about how huge it is for the UFC to be welcomed in a big city like Chicago. Plus he discussed the 'problem' of marketing a dominant fighter like Silva.
