Curran, Imada kick off Bellator finals Thursday night

Season two of the Bellator tournament is drawing near to a close, starting with the lightweight tournament finals. Pat Curran and Toby Imada will face off for the right to fight current Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.

Curran turned heads early in the tournament when he knocked out Georges St-Pierre's training partner, Mike Ricci.

He continued on his improbable path to the finals with a unanimous decision win over UFC veteran Roger Huerta. Not many expected Curran to be fighting Thursday night, but his performances so far have made Curran a star for Bellator.

Toby Imada made a name for himself last season with a submission that was named the Cagewriter Submission of the Year by our readers. He continued to show off submission skills through this season, earning a spot in the finals with armbar subs over James Krause and Carey Vanier.

Also fighting on Thursday night's card is arguably the best female fighter in the world. Megumi Fujii, awesomely nicknamed "Mega Megu," will fight Sarah Schneider. Fujii is 19-0, with 16 of those wins coming by submission. Her last decision came in 2007.

The fights will air Thursday night on Fox Sports Net. Check your local listings for an exact start time.
