Michael Bisping is doing a daily video blog similiar to the efforts of UFC president Dana White at recent UFC events. These are great tools to introduce the personalities of the fighters. Bisping is a pretty sharp guy and can talk trash with the best of them but he wasn't pleased with his performance at the UFC 89 press conference.
"There was a lot of good things I wanted say that I completely forgot about. It was completely annoying that was my chance," said Bisping. "After I kick his ass Saturday night I can take him out teach him a thing or two about binge drinking."
I have a feeling Chris Leben won't find it funny that his 'binge drinking' is treated as a joke. A very serious Leben stated during Countdown to UFC 89 that he was in the midst of 89 days of sobriety.
It is interesting to hear the fighters rate their performances at a press conference and that they actually prep material they'd like to deliver. Paul Kelly says "I was (expletive)on me self" during the presser because he was so nervous. The other thing that is striking is the amount of media Bisping is still doing just days before the weigh-in.
Watch Bisping's Wednesday blog where Cheick Kongo, generally a robot before his fights, is the class clown on much of the video. Bisping's British accent makes him sound like Austin Powers when he calls Kongo a, "bay-bay" because he has to eat all time.
It's also cool to watch Bisping's workout. His kicks and punches sound like gunfire as they hit the mits.
