Big favorites Marshall and Soszynski roll to wins

Keep an eye on Eliot Marshall he may truly be the best prospect from the 205 class on The Ultimate Fighter 8. But next time out, let's see if UFC gives him a real fight. Jules Bruchez making his pro debut was child's play for Marshall. Marshall charged Bruchez, threw a hard kick in the opening five seconds and then unloaded with his hands. Bruchez was out on feet and got slammed to the ground where Marshall quickly worked to secure a finishing rear-naked choke at 1:27 of the first.

It wasn't quite as easy for Krzysztof Soszynski who had to go to the second round to score his submission win via kimura at 3:27. It was definitely nastier as Soszynski really yanked the hold and shredded Primm's shoulder.

"Kimura is one of my favorite submissions. He wasn't as strong as I thought he'd be so I thought I'd crack it really hard. I let go of it in the first but I finished it in the second."

Marshall was a huge favorite at the Palms at -550. Technically, he was the first favorite of the young night to notch a victory. Soszynski was a -325 favorite. Tom Lawlor (-105), Shane Nelson (EVEN) and Roli Delgado (-110), all slight dogs, won their fights. The Yahoo MMA Experts Blog is a perfect 5-0 on the evening.
