Yasiel Puig does a cricket bat flip and other updates from Down Under

This is as it should be — Puig being Puig. Perhaps his fake cricket home run preening will get his baseball bat started.

Just keep catcher Tim Federowicz away from the locally treasured wildlife:

That's like coming to the United States and eating Lassie, man.

Now THIS is how you're supposed to treat the 'roos, Tim — as a gentleman left-hander would:

The Dodgers seem to be feeling their way around Australia pretty well. How are the Diamondbacks doing?

Arizona slugger Paul Goldschmidt is just walking around the outback in his D-backs uniform, holding a bat and looking for other top athletes with whom to pose. Well, he's found some! The gentleman with the soccer ball is Allesandro Del Piero, an Italian superstar who plays for Sydney FC. For now, anyway.

The gigantic guys holding the oblong balls? On the left is Adam Goodes of the Sydney Swans of Aussie Rules football. Recently named the Australian of the Year (probably beating out Paul Hogan), he has been selected to throw out the first pitch before the Dodgers and D-backs get it on. On the right is Sonny Bill Williams of the Sydney Roosters, who play rugby.

And finally: Why doesn't Adrian Gonzalez know how to dress for the beach? He's from San Diego!
