White Sox inject a little reality into the ‘Cubs win the World Series’ commercial fantasy

Big League Stew

That was quick. While the Cubs' realistic-but-imaginary World Series celebration was going viral earlier this week, a large number of throats were being cleared on Chicago's South Side. Because, you know, the White Sox actually staged a real party in the streets of the Windy City back in 2005.

Taking that reminder one further, Chuck Garfien of CSN Chicago put together a funny parody of the Cubs' MLB 12: The Show commercial featuring highlights from the first — and only World Series title in Chicago — since 1917.

Even though hopes aren't very high on either side of the city this year, it's nice to see the rivalry getting a little bit ornery in early March.
