Watch a day at spring training from Wil Myers’ point of view

Ever wonder what makes up a typical spring training day for the players before they hit the field for exhibition games?

Wonder no more. Tampa Bay Rays outfielder and 2013 AL Rookie of the Year Wil Myers was kind enough to take baseball fans through his routine on Wednesday. And, as an added bonus, agreed to strap a GoPro camera on his hat so we could experience the day from his perspective.

Take a look.

How cool was that? From the clubhouse to the side fields in Florida. From the batting cage to the outfield, where Myers works to ensure he won't lose another critical flyball in sun. We had a front row seat for everything.

Well, almost everything. We didn't get to see the process Myers goes through when styling his hair in the morning. That would have been fascinating. But aside from that this was a successful experiment that has certainly whet our appetite for some real baseball action.

Let's get this show on the road!
