Vin Scully will get you fired up for Saturday’s NHL showdown at Dodger Stadium

Dodger Stadium’s transformation from baseball cathedral to NHL venue (and beach volleyball court) is complete. All that’s left now is the actual hockey game between the host Los Angeles Kings and the visiting Anaheim Ducks, which is scheduled to take place Saturday night on NBC (9:30 pm ET).

But before we get there, the NHL requests your attention for one minute in order to make a final attempt to get you fired up for the historic tilt. To do so, they've called on the always eloquent voice of Dodgers baseball, Vin Scully.

Take it away, Mr. Scully:

Advice to the world: If you want to create some buzz for your product, you could do a lot worse than having Vin Scully voicing over your promos.

"Dodger Stadium: A southern California gem with a diamond cut into a hockey rink."

"Where Kings will be quick to flash their leather to defend their turf."

Who says baseball and hockey can't mix? Anything is possible when Vin Scully is involved. And if that video didn't get you even a little bit fired up for the game, absolutely nothing will.

Play ba... I mean, drop that puck!

Be sure to check in with our friends over at Puck Daddy. They will have the NHL Stadium Series in Los Angeles and New York covered like a blanket all weekend long.
