Five quick links to start your day ....
1. If the ratings for tonight's series premiere of '90210' aren't what network execs are expecting, they can simply blame the Cubs, who are pushing the show back a few hours because of their game with the Astros. As someone who's both holding tickets for tonight and eager to see what the new Peach Pit and the new Joe E. Tata look like, I consider this a good thing.
Also a good thing: Perhaps the Trixie presence at Wrigley will be at a season-low tonight since they'll be having about-to-be-ruined viewing parties. (Although everyone knows the girls who go to Tuesday night games instead of Saturday afternoon contests just have boyfriends who don't really love them.) [Tribune]
2. The Cubs have lost their past six games that were announced by Dick Stockton, leading one blogger to surmise that he has cursed the team. I can't say that such speculation. Look at Dick for awhile and he starts to resemble an old goat. [Rumors and Rants]
3. Joba Chamberlain will spend the rest of the season in the pen. I am only telling you this because breathlessly reporting every movement that Mr. Chamberlain makes is a hard habit to break, even when the Yankees are headed to an offseason of golf. [NY Daily News]
5. For those of you looking to build your collection of Orioles-specific ringtones, here's a couple more. Can't say I remember their '89 theme song, "Why Not?" but it's going on my celly anyway. [Camden Chat]
