Editor's note: Our MLB Toasts got derailed during the stretch run and postseason, but we're back to say goodbye to the rest of the league. Follow @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and await our call for submissions for more toasts. Next up, the Oakland Athletics.
The Oakland Athletics were, once again, that mostly anonymous team whose players don't make a lot of money, yet manage to knock off their big-spending division foes in Texas and Los Angeles. For the A's, that was good enough for a 96-66 record, another AL West title, then another ALDS exit at the hands of the Detroit Tigers.
And while that's a nice little story, most people are going to remember Oakland's 2013 season because of one thing — sewage. So let's all plug our noses while we give the A's a toast.
To the A's, for turning guys like Brandon Moss and John Donaldson into stars. To the A's, for having the best bobblehead of 2013. To the A's, for letting Yoenis Cespedes home-run derby his way into our hearts. And for helping a sick kid throw out the longest first pitch we've seen.
We're not going to bogart this toast. Here's what a few people had to say about the 2013 A's. Add your own toast in the comments.

@bigleaguestew A toast to the A's! Maybe they should fire Billy Beane and hire Brad Pitt
