A toast to the 2013 Boston Red Sox

Big League Stew

Editor's note: This is our final MLB Toast of the season. You can see all the previous toasts below. Everybody clank your glasses.

We saved the best for last. The champs. The Boston Red Sox. That right there is enough of a reason for a toast.

To the Red Sox, for going from last to first — it's cliche at this point, but it's no less impressive. To the Red Sox, for giving the people of Boston quite a triumph to help balance out the tragedy. To the Red Sox, because baseball wouldn't have been the same this year without Jonny Gomes.

To the Red Sox, for grand slams we'll never forget, beards we'd sort of like to and the coolest bullpen cop ever. To the Red Sox, for definitely having a better 2013 than the Yankees.

We're not going to bogart this toast. Here's what people had to say about the 2013 Red Sox. Add your own toast in the comments.

ALREADY: Houston Astros, Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Minnesota Twins, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels, Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Indians Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves.

THANKS: We're done with this series. We appreciate everybody who contributed tweets and comments. You guys have yourselves a drink.
