Editor's note: Our MLB Toasts got derailed during the stretch run and postseason, but we're back to say goodbye to the rest of the league. Follow @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and await our call for submissions for more toasts. Next up, the Baltimore Orioles.
The Baltimore Orioles didn't have that same 2012 magic this season. They were a playoff contender, but didn't make the playoffs. They were tied for first place in the AL East a few times, but never in first alone. It was a "not quite" kinda year for the Orioles. A year worthy of a toast, no doubt.
Here's to the Orioles, for going 11-8 against the eventual World Series champs. Be proud of that. To the Orioles, for having three Silver Sluggers. To the Orioles, for giving us Manny Machado and all his mastery and Chris Davis and all his long bombs. To the Orioles, for wearing Canadian Tuxedos. We appreciate it.
We're not going to bogart this toast. Here's what a couple of people had to say about the 2013 Nationals. Add your own toast in the comments.
