Start time for NLCS Game 3 is a bit inconvenient for Giants fans

It was confirmed on Tuesday that Game 3 of the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants' NLCS will be an afternoon affair, which is very likely to cause scheduling conflicts for Giants fans planning to attend or watch the game.

From the @SF_Giants Twitter feed:

Thanks to @GleeOnFOX at 8PM, the Giants get a Tuesday day-game at 1:19PM PT. Vacation or Sick Day request now before your co-workers do!

I know we always need a reason to be angry at Fox, but I think the Giants are reporting this incorrectly. According to TV listings, the Glee episode scheduled to air next Tuesday is a repeat. As crazy loyal (emphasis on crazy) as Glee fans are, I doubt Fox would go through all the trouble of requesting game times to accommodate a Glee rerun.

To me this has nothing to do with Fox and everything to do with MLB trying to give each series a fair amount of prime-time exposure.

It should be noted the ALCS Game 4 featuring the New York Yankees and a team yet to be determined is scheduled to play on Tuesday evening on TBS. Before you get angry about the Yankees getting the benefit of the scheduling, their Game 5 would be the early game (4 p.m. ET) on Wednesday (if necessary) while NLCS Game 4 would serve as the nightcap.

All that stuff aside, there's no denying this is terribly inconvenient for the Giants and their fans. I know this isn't sitting well with a lot of you, so I'll be interested to hear how you're working your schedules to see the first NLCS game in San Francisco since 2002.
