Playoff anthem! Ice Cube teams with LA radio station to record ‘Dodgers Anthem 2013′

Surprisingly, we've been pretty much void of playoff anthems this October, but rapper Ice Cube and the people at Power 106 in Los Angeles have teamed up to change that. Along with DJ Felli Fel, Tyga and Ty Dolla $ign, the "Dodgers Anthem 2013" was recorded, and it's a song that's certainly befitting of the current Dodgers squad, while also paying homage to their history.

Have a listen:

Of course, the highlights for the old school fans are the acknowledgements of Fernando Valenzuela, Tommy Lasorda and the great Vin Scully.

I pop bubbly with Vin Scully, it's so lovely

Yeah, you can never go wrong when you mention Vin Scully.

And it's true, Ice Cube does go way back with Tommy Lasorda... until August, at least.

Lasorda's message is especially true in October. The Dodgers may have fallen to the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 1 of the NLCS, and their backs may be against the wall with Hanley Ramirez and Andre Ethier out of the lineup in Game 2, but Blue Heaven and the home fans await them on Monday. And those fans still have plenty of reasons to believe.
