Playoff anthem! Giants fans rewrite 'Don't Stop Believing'

The 2005 Chicago White Sox and the final episode of "The Sopranos" may have already commandeered Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" for their own climactic purposes.

But because Steve Perry is a giant Gigantes fan and a noted Dodgers hater — yes, he's back after briefly partying with the '05 Pale Hose — the San Francisco Giants also have big designs on making the iconic song an iconic part of their postseason run.

To wit: Ashkon and White Collar Brawler have rewritten the song's lyrics using a Giants spin and filmed a very solid video around AT&T Park on game day. The tune is already getting radio air play in the Bay Area and you can download it here.

Who knows? If the Giants' playoff run doesn't suddenly fade to black, the song might become as "San Francisco" as the best fan featured in the video (below) and not an obsolete work of art like Craig Finn's Minnesota Twins song.
