Phillie Phanatic stars in MLB spoof of viral video ‘What Does the Fox Say?’

If you've come this far in your Internet-surfing life without encountering the bizarre video by Norwegian duo Ylvis called "What Does the Fox Say?" then you're a better (luckier?) person than most. Your streak might end here, though.

Looking to tap into the viralness of "What Does the Fox Say?" (293 million views and counting) the Philadelphia Phillies made a parody starring their mascot, the Phillie Phanatic. It's something else. The original is weird enough but add the cackling and honking of the Phanatic in the chorus and the piercing "Go Phillies" stuff at 2:20, and you may think somebody slipped LSD into your coffee.

I'm most sad that recent-signee Marlon Byrd didn't make an appearance in the Phillies version, honestly. Though, as uneventful as the Phillies offseason has been so far — Roberto Hernandez, yay! — this weird video may very well be the highlight.
