Mike Trout bought his mom a new car for Mother's Day

At age 22, Mike Trout is already a perennial contender for American League MVP. In fact, some believe he should already have two of those trophies in his display case and should be in the process of working on a third. That much is certainly debatable. What isn't debatable, however, is that Trout deserves heavy consideration for MVS, or Most Valuable Son, as he recently purchased his mother Debbie a fantastic early Mother's Day present.

Of course, many of us dream of the day when we can pay back our parents financial and emotional support with a life-changing gift. With a new six-year, $144.5 million contract extension set to kick in next season, that time has arrived for Trout, and his mom couldn't look any happier or prouder.

The gift appears to be a brand new Infiniti SUV QX80, which runs around $63,000, so he spared no expense with the purchase. And the personalized red bow on the hood serves as the cherry on top of the sundae.

A job well done by Mike Trout, but it appears his shopping spree didn't end there. Trout's sister, Teal Levick, recently tweeted a photo of a new MK purse he purchased for her birthday.

To the relatives of the best baseball player on Planet Earth go the spoils, and why not? They've always been a tight-knit family, so it's kinda cool to see Mike Trout use his new found riches to repay their support with these extravagant gifts.
