Matt Kemp bought $250 headphones for every player on the Dodgers

Matt Kemp's 2013 season has been a series of disappointments — most recently his second disabled-list stint of the season, this time with a shoulder injury. But Kemp continues to have a stellar year in the good-guy rankings. The latest example: He bought the entire Los Angeles Dodgers active roster a pair of Beats by Dre headphones.

Specifically, white Mixr headphones from the Beats line, which run a cool $249.95 a pair. Multiply that by 25 players and Kemp dropped $6,250 on this gift to his teammates.

Granted, when you're Kemp and you make $20 million per season, that's not a huge chunk of cash. It's like you or me buying a round of drinks for a couple co-workers. But like Grandma says at Christmas, "it's the thought that counts." The headphones were waiting for Kemp's teammates at their lockers during the Dodgers' last series before the All-Star break.Already this season we've seen Kemp give almost his entire uniform to a sick Dodgers fan. He then flew the fan to a Dodgers game. He also pledged $250,000 in May to help tornado relief in his home state of Oklahoma.

Perhaps this latest gesture is Kemp's way of giving his Dodgers teammates something this season, even if it's not on the field.

Baseball season's in full swing. Don't miss a thing.
