Prince Fielder's surgery is the biggest injury headline Thursday for the Texas Rangers. Fielder will become the 17th Rangers player to hit the disabled list this season. It's the biggest news, but not the most ridiculous.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels announced that second baseman Jurickson Profar will miss another 8-12 weeks because he re-injured his shoulder ... wait for it ... rolling over in bed. Profar, the top prospect in MLB last season, tore his shoulder muscle in March and that was supposed to sideline him three months. Now he could be out until late August, worst case. And rolling over in bed? Sheesh. The Rangers already lost pitcher Derek Holland when he tripped over his dog.

When a team with World Series hopes has been decimated with injuries the way the Rangers have and then something like this happens, it's reached a point where all you can do is laugh to keep from crying. Right, Rangers fans?

Perhaps this was destined to happen once the team sold its stadium naming rights to an insurance company.
