Goofball fan climbs on ESPN ‘Baseball Tonight’ set and pours cola product over head while John Kruk squirms

This looks fake, but not in a CGI way. Perhaps it's misguided viral marketing. Perhaps it's just a goofball who bet someone else that he'd do it. Regardless, Timothy Burke of Deadspin has video captured an actual person climbing aboard ESPN's "Baseball Tonight" set Wednesday night after Game 1 of the World Series. The young fella positioned himself strategically behind John Kruk before he dramatically pulled off his Dr. Pepper T-shirt and poured what appears to be bottle of Coca Cola — pause — over his head. The goofball writhed as though he was in a soap commercial or something. Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper, too? No, actually.

All the while, Kruk squirmed as host Karl Ravech referenced the man behind him disrobing.

"Hey, we're trying to break down the big umpire reversal with Pete Kozma and Dana DeMuth, here," the look on Kruk's face said. "World Series! Important stuff!"

The stunt was stupid. It was bizarre. It was embarrassing. So it worked. But it's also funny, if you're into that sort of thing.
