We haven't heard much about the A-Rod/Madonna relationship sidebar lately and I think I speak for us all when saying that's a very excellent thing. How else are we supposed to focus on all the Brett Favre news that's out there?
But what's even better is that the latest news about New York's two former favorite gossip targets at least benefits somebody, even if it's the citizens of a country who have likely never heard of either Madge or America's highest-paid baseball player.
Something good may come out of Madonna's liaison with Alex Rodriguez.
The Yankee slugger is making a big donation to the icon's charity, Raising Malawi, a source tells us.
"They've asked him for a million dollars, and I hear he's agreed to give at least $500,000," the source confided.
The article also states that A-Rod donated $3.9 million to the University of Miami for a new baseball stadium, which is nice. Someone making the type of scratch that A-Rod makes needs to be parting with
some a lot of it and it's certainly good to see that A-Rod feels the same way, too.
(Insert joke about next donation being written to The Cynthia Rodriguez Lifestyle Foundation here.)
