Dye and Konerko reach 300 homers within seconds of each other

It'd take a Will Hunting type to even start calculating the probability of two players hitting their 300th career homers in the same game, so I'm not even going to try and figure it out.

But let's just put it this way: What Jermaine Dye and Paul Konerko of the White Sox did during Monday's 10-6 win over Detroit — hitting a century milestone homer — had never been done before.

At least not according to those quick fact-finding folks at Elias Sports Bureau.

Throw in the fact that both put No. 300 on the board — YESSS! says Hawk Harrelson — in back-to-back at-bats in the second inning and the coincidence is even more fun. (Unless, of course, you're Tigers pitcher Zach Miner.)
