Big League Stew’s midseason look at MLB awards: MVP candidates

Mike Oz

The races to crown the American League and National League MVPs both look to be exciting. In the AL, two sluggers are on a torrid pace, with some young guys right behind. In the NL, a number of high-value guys lead a pack of viable candidates.

Just like we did with the Cy Young candidates, the Big League Stew crew will examine 10 guys who could finish the season with an MVP award. These aren't mid-season awards, more of a look ahead at who we predict will be contenders at year's end. It's July and obviously a lot can still change.

Who do you think are baseball's MVP candidates for 2013? Leave your predictions in the comments.

Baseball season's in full swing. Don't miss a thing.
