It's April Fools' Day, so the Internet is full of pranksters with half-baked jokes they conjured up this morning. Athletes are no different. Take LeBron James who tried to fool the world into thinking he was going to drop a mixtape. He should have called it LeYawn, 'cause that's tired.
We dare you to show us an athlete more dedicated to his or her April Fools' Day prank than bearded Oakland Athletics relief pitcher Sean Doolittle, who hatched his plot last year. The tweets tell the story.
After the game last night, I decided it was time for a change. New season, new look! Keepin it clean in 2K14! pic.twitter.com/1xHssTSxH8— Sean Doolittle (@whatwouldDOOdo) April 1, 2014
The beard posse on Twitter was, of course, sad:
Then, three hours later, Doolittle revealed he was just prankin'.
April Fools! I took the previous pic in Jan '13 specifically for this joke! Been setting you guys up this whole time! pic.twitter.com/PvhxWEZvvA— Sean Doolittle (@whatwouldDOOdo) April 1, 2014
Well played, sir.
