Video: Steve Stricker’s hole-in-one at the BMW Championship nets him memorable prize

For the most part, Steve Stricker's second round at the BMW Championship was fairly forgettable. With a double and four bogeys on the day, the recent Ryder Cup captain's selection went from on the fringe of being in the mix after an opening-round 68 to out of contention going into the weekend following a 1-over 73.

But the round wasn't a complete wash. Stricker had a pretty memorable moment on sixth, where he recorded the first ace of the week at the BMW Championship. Considering the title sponsor is a high-end car dealer, you'd expect Stricker to walk away with a sweet 5 Series or M3, right?

Well, the car company decided to give him a prize that actually topped a slick ride. We're serious. His prize? Try a four-year Evans Scholarship, donated in his name to a deserving college-bound caddie. I mean seriously, how cool is that?

Stricker may not remember the round or the hole-in-one -- he said of the ace: "Unfortunately it was about the only highlight of the day. I don't even remember the yardage" -- but I'm pretty sure he'll remember that his shot on the sixth allowed him to put his name on a worthy cause.
