Victory video: Ryan Palmer's final-hole happiness

Sometimes you're good, and sometimes you're flat-out lucky. Ryan Palmer was the former for most of the day Sunday at the Sony Open, but ended up getting a big smooch from Lady Fortune on his final approach. Here, check it:

Now, that ball wasn't coming in as hot as I thought it was initially, and probably would have stopped about 10 feet or so past the pin. But that would have made it a putting contest with Robert Allenby to either win or force a playoff, and at that point anything could happen. So Palmer escapes with a win, an invitation to the Masters for the first time in five years, and an exemption on the PGA Tour through 2012.

For all that, I sincerely hope he bought that pin dinner after the tournament.
