Sergio Garcia holes out the best shot of the Open Championship

Oh, Sergio. You are the most enthralling and most infuriating player on Tour. And it's because of shots like this: a hole-out eagle on the second, bracketed by bogeys on 1 and 3.

Garcia was about 150 yards out from the hole, right on the edge of the soul-clutching rough that's already claimed a few Open hopes. His shot took advantage of the flat, skittery greens at Hoylake, and moments later, Garcia had himself a pretty little eagle.

Garcia is still within a handful of shots of the leaders, but it's anybody's guess as to whether he'll be there or down by a dozen by the end of all this. Even so, he's got what has to be the shot of the Open so far.

Regardless of whether he wins, he's hopefully learned at least a bit of fashion sense since the last time the Open Championship visited Hoylake:

Yeah. Leave the human banana outfit in the closet this year, Sergio.
