The old saying goes, it's better to be lucky than good in golf, and while most might not totally agree with that, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler probably would after their tee shots on the par-3 17th. The pin up front, McIlroy hit his iron shot just a hair short of the pin, and watched anxiously as it appeared like it would find the water. It didn't, and after smacking into the railroad ties guarding the green from the water, it ended up just 15 feet from the green.
What did Fowler do just a couple of groups back? The exact same thing. Watch and be amazed.
