You must watch this disturbing video of Jimenez stretching

We all know that the cigar-smoking, ponytailed Miguel Angel Jimenez is golf's version of the Most Interesting Man In The World. But when you combine his peculiar pre-round stretching routine with the bone-dry wit of the BBC's Peter Alliss, well, you get one minute of genius:

That's art right there. Bizarre art, certainly, but art nonetheless. And it led to what is, so far, the tweet of the tournament, from (who else?) Dan Jenkins:

Bravo. And whatever Jimenez did, it worked; he finished at +1, which is good enough to be just a single stroke off the lead. Expect to see more pole dancing on the practice green this weekend ... heaven help us all.

Jimenez is a character all on his own; you may recall that he's the inspiration for the famous Cigar Guy from the Ryder Cup last year. And after Thursday's play, he said he'd relax with a cigar and a glass of wine, and "go to the merchandise [tent] with my sons to find some shirt with the logo. Like a human, no? I want to buy also a shirt for me. I am a fan of The Open, too, you know, apart from a player." Yes, he'll stand in line with everyone else. At least he won't wrench his back reaching for his wallet.
