Those shoes you see above are the most patriotic Nikes you will ever lay your eyes on, and they belong to American Michelle Wie, who added another full point to her Solheim Cup career in the early foursome matches on Friday in Ireland.
Wie teamed up with Cristie Kerr, and they were one of two American teams that walked away with a full point as both the Americans and the Europeans had two winning teams in the first matches of the Solheim Cup.
The big winners early? American flags, the duo of Paula Creamer and Brittany Lincicome, and Suzann Pettersen, who drained an 8-foot birdie putt on the final hole to win her early match 1-up.
The fourball matches were ongoing, at this writing, on The Golf Channel.
