It's no secret that Johnny Miller loves criticizing other golfers. And it's also no secret that Johnny Miller shot a 63 at Oakmont on the final day of the 1973 U.S. Open. So when Ian Poulter received the following gift, it certainly seemed legit:
Poulter seethed on Twitter, posting a picture of the cap and saying to Miller, "your a comedian not." (Poulter, of course, is a proofreader not.)
Well, apparently Miller had nothing to do with the gag; Poulter later revealed that it was Brad Faxon who forged the signature. Even so, Poulter still Tweeted that Miller could "choke on this" -- "this" being Poulter's European Tour-leading Greens In Regulation status.
So, yeah -- basically, you've got a couple oversensitive guys sniping at each other. (Oversensitive? In golf? I know, I can't believe it either.) Should be interesting to see how Miller comments on Poulter in the upcoming weeks.
