The FedEx Cup playoffs are here, and that means there are just 30 guys with a chance to win the biggest monetary prize in all of golf. Let's continue to run down the list, shall we?
All 30 golfers in the Tour Championship field have a shot at winning the FedEx Cup. But as most already know, the lower you are down the totem pole, the harder it is to take home the cool $10 million given to the winner.
Good thing for Brandt Snedeker, he doesn't have to worry about many scenarios this week. Sitting at No. 6 in the FedEx Cup standings heading to East Lake, Snedeker knows he's got a great chance to hoist the FedEx Cup trophy if he can somehow find a way to win the Tour Championship.
Based on the way he's played this season, it's not hard to envision him in contention on Sunday afternoon. With two top-3 finishes (T3 at the Barclays and Deutsche Bank) and a T22 at the BMW already under his belt, Snedeker comes into the final event with some serious momentum.
The momentum has actually been building all season, after Snedeker won The Heritage Classic at Hilton Head, before finishing the regular season off with five top-10 finishes and 11 top 25s. Needless to say, 2011 has been a great season for the Tennessee native. It could get even better if he somehow finds a way to win the Tour Championship.
