Day 1 of Tiger 2.0 begins with a drive right down the middle

At long last, Tiger Woods has returned to competitive golf, and here's how it began:

First shot, right down the middle.

Woods reached the green on 1 in regulation, but left his birdie putt just below the hole. And as he moved on through the course, winds picked up, occasionally reaching 30 mph in gusts.

After six holes, he stood at -1, five strokes behind the four-headed leader team of Phil Mickelson, Y.E. Yang, Lee Westwood and Tom Watson.
