And the 2014 Masters champion is ...

This year seems as open as any Masters we can remember. No Tiger Woods, a struggling Phil Mickelson and a field that could see 70 or so guys compete to win this 2014 Masters. Our experts grinded over their picks, and came to some tough conclusions. Check out who they think will leave Augusta National on Sunday with the green jacket.

Dan Wetzel (@danwetzel): Since I can't pick Tiger, who I always pick because I have very little knowledge of what would determine a sound pick, I'll take Zach Johnson. He's won here before. He seems very confident and comfortable in his game of late. And he's always been a nice guy to me.

Jay Hart (@yahoosports): Brandt Snedeker: Why? Because for whatever reason when I scanned the field I stopped on his name and thought, "Him." Seriously, it's a crapshoot at this point, right? Phil Mickelson said Tuesday up to 50 people have a chance to win; Rory McIlroy put the number at 70. Snedeker hasn't won a major, which bodes well consider the last nine majors have produced nine different winners. He's been really good at Augusta – he held the 54-hole lead a year ago - just not through all four rounds.

Jay Busbee (@jaybusbee): Matt Kuchar. All right, I'm boarding the Kuch Express. He's been so close for so many majors, and golf has a way of rewarding those who approach the game with respect and grace over the course of decades. (Well, except for Lee Westwood, of course.) Kuchar has been playing consistent top-flight golf for several seasons now, right up to his playoff loss last week in Houston, and he's able to put himself in position for the final stretch run on Sunday. Can he replace that monkey on his back with a green jacket? I say yes.

Kevin Kaduk (@kevinkaduk): Jason Day: This is a risky pick considering the Aussie's injured thumb (he says he's fine), but Day will give the Land Down Under two Masters in two years when all is said and done. The 26-year-old Day is on the brink of superstardom (if he's not there already) and a win with Tiger watching from home might give some reassurance to those who fret that golf will suffer from a lack of household names. If nothing else, I'm rooting for him so I can see this cute little guy celebrating with dad on the 72nd green.

Shane Bacon (@shanebacon): As open as this field is, I've batted around the idea of picking a red-hot Sergio Garcia, a streaking Bubba Watson and even going with the long-hitting Dustin Johnson. But you know what I never do? Go with the chalk, and that's what I'm doing this week. I'm picking Rory McIlroy to win, mainly because I think he will be in contention come Sunday and I think he's playing some really solid golf coming in (especially that Sunday 65 at the Shell Houston Open). Rory has contended here before, and he seems as comfortable, and as confident, as he has been with his golf game in over a year.

Now, it's your turn to give us your pick in the comments. Who do you see coming out of this 2014 Masters with the green jacket?
