'Saltalamacchia.' Hmm. Would you use it in a sentence, please?

According to Rangers' general manager Jon Daniels, there is a "distinct possibility" that Jarrod Saltalamacchia could be called up from Triple-A. Backup catcher Adam Melhuse bruised his hand on Thursday night.

Saltalamacchia should already be owned in two-catcher and A.L.-only leagues. If he's not, he's worth adding. While the Rotowire note on Saltalamacchia's player page seems accurate enough...

Gerald Laird should remain the Rangers' primary catcher even if Salty gets the call

...wouldn't you be a little disappointed if the 7-16 Rangers only gave Saltalamacchia a few at bats a week?

He started 35 games at first base last season, and Ben Broussard is hitting .161/.246/.306. Seems like Saltalamacchia should be able to catch a little, DH a little, and/or play first.

He's certainly worth a look in mixed leagues if you're a disgruntled Kenji Johjima or Ramon Hernandez owner. Saltalamacchia is batting .291/.391/.491 for Triple-A Oklahoma with two home runs and 13 RBIs. He's in the player pool, so you shouldn't have to use waiver priority here.
