This year Yahoo Sports will crown the best Fantasy Baseball player in the land and that person will walk away with a grand prize of $40,000 from the Champion of Champions contest. Second place will win $2,000 and third place will take home $1,000.

But this tournament is for more than just league winners. There are lots of opportunities for prizes. As long as you don't finish last in your league, you will qualify for a level of the tournament.

How does it work? We have the official rules but the basics are league winners are eligible to compete in the Champion of Champions contest. Other eligible players will qualify for either the Silver Cup contest, the Bronze Cup contest or the Plastic Cup contest. It all starts after the MLB regular season. In phase 1, the top 50 percent of players will advance to phase 2. From there, players with scores among the top 10 percent will qualify for phase 3. Finish with the most points in phase 3 and win.

So don't delay, sign up for Yahoo Fantasy Baseball and see if you have what it takes to be crowned the Champion of Champions.
