According to coach Jim Haslett, Jackson "was gassed (in the fourth quarter), and his leg started to bother him."
Not so, Jackson insisted. "No, I wasn't gassed," he said. "I had 21 carries and felt great. So, it wasn't me and my conditioning. I wish (Haslett) would stop saying that."
Jackson carried 21 times for 94 yards against Miami, and he certainly looked strong for three quarters. Highlights here, via NFL.com. Seems like a two-win team could use a guy like that in the final minutes of a 16-12 game. Unless they're playing for draft position.
St. Louis' end-of-season schedule is friendly -- at Arizona, vs. Seattle, vs. San Francisco -- and Jackson apparently emerged from Week 13 un-gassed and relatively healthy. (Although he looks a little gassy in the image above). Expect a greater workload in the fantasy playoffs.
