Court Report: Wednesday quick hits

Josh Smith's knee injury is not serious and he could have played Tuesday if it were the playoffs, but the Hawks are instead very interested in getting him back to 100 percent before the playoffs actually do start. And considering that Atlanta is locked into their current fifth-place standing in the East, it should surprise nobody if he skips one or both of the games in the team's upcoming back-to-back (Fri @IND, Sat @WAS). We won't know for sure what the plan will be for Smith until at least Thursday, however.

Deron Williams said after his 18-point, 21-assist effort Tuesday that it was "probably a possibility" that he's done for the season. He's certainly out Wednesday - as is Kris Humphries - and he was scheduled to undergo an MRI on his wrist Wednesday. It's likely that we'll have a definitive update on his status after the results are examined, and that update is likely to be that he will shut it down. Jordan Farmar should be back on rosters, particularly with the Nets playing four games over the season's final six days.

Other status updates: Dwyane Wade (thigh) is doubtful and not expected to play Wednesday ... Kevin Love (groin) is doubtful for Wednesday ... Tyson Chandler (back) will be a game-time decision ... Stephen Jackson (hamstring) will attempt to play Wednesday ... Marcus Camby (neck) is out Thursday and questionable for Friday ... Andrea Bargnani (ankle) lasted eight minutes on Tuesday and is out Wednesday, while Jose Calderon (hamstring) will return to the active roster ... Devin Harris (hamstring) participated in Jazz practice on Wednesday but is only being called a game-time decision for Thursday.
