French Open, Day 3: Li Na stunned in the first round

The third day of the French Open didn't exactly provide a match of the day per se, but it did provide some interesting outcomes.

Caroline Wozniacki was bounced in the first round by Yanina Wickmayer in three sets, and had some interesting things to say after her match about her split with Rory McIlroy ("it came a bit as a shock").

Gael Monfils, the always entertaining Frenchman, got past Victor Hanescu in four sets to advance to the second round, and American Sloane Stephens was clean in her straight sets win over Shuai Peng.

Andy Murray is one of the only notable men that stumbled even a little bit on Tuesday, dropping a set to Andrey Golubev but eventually winning his match in four sets.

The big upset came with the No. 2 seed on the women's side of the draw, Li Na. The 2014 Australian Open champion and '11 French Open winner couldn't find her game, losing to Kristina Mladenovic 7-5, 3-6, 6-1.

The most surprising part of all this isn't the fact that Na hadn't been bounced from the first round of a Grand Slam 2010, but more her admitted lack of focus on the court on Tuesday.

"It's incredible, without you I couldn't have done it," a weeping Kristina Mladenovic told the crowd as the Frenchwoman knocked off Li Na.

Venus Williams, Novak Djokovic, Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, Maria Sharapova, Roger Federer and Serena Williams all play their second round matches, so there will be plenty of big names on court on Wednesday at the French Open.
