Vitali Klitschko hasn't lost since 2003 and he's finished 9-of-11 opponents. Apparently, that doesn't impress WBC challenger Dereck Chisora.
When the fighters went forehead to forehead at today's weigh-in, Chisora slapped Klitschko right across the face. The 40-year-old Klitschko was stunned but showed his maturity in not turning the mild fracas into a full-scale brouhaha.
Chisora (15-2, 9 KOs) shoots for the title tomorrow night in Munich, Germany. The 6-foot-7 Klitschko weighed in at 243.5. The 6-2 Chisora was 241. The Brit from Zimbabwe says it's time for a change at the top of the heavyweight division.
"Everybody's tired of you and your brother," Chisora said. "There's no excitement in the ring. It's time for the new king. People want a new relief in boxing. Him and his brother have killed the sport I love."
