Which Minor League Baseball team has the best 'Star Wars' theme jerseys this season?

Minor League Baseball theme jerseys have branched out this year to include homages to "Ghostbusters" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," but there's a reigning king of the pop culture-themed baseball jersey and that's "Star Wars." As we're learning, there's no shortage of "Star Wars" themed jerseys scheduled for 2014 either.

First, we look at the R2-D2 jerseys that the Triple-A Durham Bulls will wear this season on May 4 (aka May the Fourth Be With You, the increasingly recognized annual Star Wars holiday). They're pretty sweet, right?

But here's a problem: It turns out the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A team of the Oakland Athletics, will be wearing almost the exact same R2-D2 jersey. The only real difference is the placement of the logo. Sacramento's is on the arm, Durham's is on the chest.

In a battle, the Bulls win because their jerseys will be worn on May 4, so they're dominating the "Star Wars" nerdiness factor. But, fact is, until we find two minor-league teams to play a game in dueling "Star Wars" jerseys, then there doesn't necessarily have to be one *winner*.

The perfect opponent is out there, though. The Single-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, is representing The Dark Side and wearing Darth Vader jerseys on June 28.

This wouldn't be a proper "Star Wars" theme jersey post if we didn't include the Chewbacca jerseys that the Kane County Cougars (a Single-A Chicago Cubs affiliate) are wearing this season. Though, they look a lot like the Chewbacca jerseys that the Toledo Mud Hens wore last year.

The moral of this story? Maybe it's time to relax with the "Star Wars" jerseys for a while. Until then, go ahead and vote for your favorite.
