The Tampa Bay Rays clubhouse is turning into a zoo — just ask the penguin

In the days since the Tampa Bay Rays gave away a bobblehead of David Price's dog, we've seen manager Joe Maddon hanging out with some interesting characters. On Wednesday — which happens to be Maddon garden gnome night in Tampa — he shared his chair with a penguin. And we're not talking about those dudes in Pittsburgh who play hockey.

This comes a day after Maddon did pre-game interviews with a cockatoo on his shoulder:

Our theory on all this? The Rays — fourth place in the AL East — saw what hanging out with a chimp did for Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis and jumped on the bandwagon ark.
